Makaha may not be a major tourist destination, but it offers several fun filled and memorable activities to make it a memorable Hawaiian experience. The isolation of this place from the other popular Hawaiian Islands has allowed it to maintain its true Hawaiian charm and atmosphere.

The long and wide Makaha Beach offers excellent swimming options on calm days. The waves are very high during the winters and allows for excellent surfing. The beach is seldom crowded making it a great place to relax amid the refreshing sound of the waves.
